child-like wonder
only a few of us still have this gift. the ability to take away the pain and feel joy in the moment we are in. all we have is this happy moment in time. being present.
think about your inner child.
when do they feel safe enough to come out? is it environmental? the people you’re with? an activity you’re doing?
For me it’s when my fear of judgement disappears and I can openly have childlike wonder. I might be 23 but this situation allows me to feel safe again as I once did as a kid. I am truly only able to experience this with those I am comfortable with. Those who can see me for me and enjoy that. I realize how lucky we are to experience someone’s inner child. When they aren’t confined to the adult expectation of behavior. I ask myself how I got lucky enough to see yours. I feel grateful. Some people might see this moment as adhd behaviors (such as clicking feet together, skipping, aimlessly walking and smiling) but it’s really just being satisfied with the simple things. Today I bought myself a little pastry and ate it as I walked to the library to meet with my friend- a smile on my face because I was doing something for me, a smile because I was going to meet Rayann and Sophia. Those who are judgmental are probably envious of your ability to still feel while simultaneously being numb.
