#wip I was at the studio tonight and picked this piece up that was part of a piece many moons ago and decided to play with it, and that little blue area in upper right told me that it was little buildings, a little cityscape, they just appeared in the paint & texture that been put there 20 years ago. I’m pleased. 🥰 This started from a little scrap of nothing and I’ll keep playing til it’s something. It came to life again tonight because I opened an old container of white Plaka, this casein-based (milk-based) paint/ink & my friend Juan blended it for me with the drill (brilliant! duh!) as it was - well, kinda separated and thick, but it worked like a charm - & then of course I had to paint some stuff with it. I love its super matte velvety contrast with the shininess of acrylic. We’ll see where I take it next. Our body is constantly replacing the old cells with new ones. The problem is the communication within the body! We have old programming and as the new cell comes in all the old issues stored there pass along the old stories/trauma/pain/emotions and it is told it is not perfect and healthy but needs to be compromised like it's neighbors. With #bodytalksystem we drop the stories and allow those new cells to be their own authentic healthy selves. This flower did not just appear from nothing. It is a result of past actions and perceptions. It was once a seed with nothing but it’s innate intelligence of what it was supposed to become. I don’t know how to start this post as I’ve started and erased it over and over agin spanning several weeks now.... So many in my personal life and online have told me I should write a book or books after spending a bit of time in conversation. I’ve had a ton of diverse things in life that to have gifted me with very different understandings of a lot of topics that I also seem to easily articulate to mind pictures that most tell me they had never heard explained that way or never really “inner-stood” before. I’m still resistant to sitting down to write actual books but I am willing to begin doing post via My interconnected Social Media profiles to get my thoughts out and perhaps be able to go back at some point to gleam enough to put together a book or a series of ebooks to condense the bits that you all will point out to be useful to have all in one place for further reference. For hundreds and thousands of years humans have pushed their emotions down. So many wars; so many big ol’ scary occurrences and we had to ‘keep calm to carry on’. So fear got pushed away; hidden under pulsing invisibility cloaks in our bodies. One cloak for anger, another for sadness, perhaps. We all store things differently. . Our grandparents and great great great grandparents kept feelings in - for survival. This was necessary and noble and perfect at that time. . Many of us here now have a different mission. We came to feel; to allow the unfurling of our emotional intelligence. . And why? . Because feelings tell us where to go and what to do, sweet one. They are our sensory compass; the felt-sense map within. Which we - the human race - had largely lost touch with and, hence, the planet’s in a bit of a mess. . Enter (cue fanfare!) The Feelers; now living in this world at this time - coming to a town near you! Or (likely, if you’re reading this) this IS you. Those of us brave enough to tread this planet while having emotions. And hence - a breakout in what’s being called ‘mental health’ conditions has arisen. Yup, it’s quite a shock when those internal rivers get moving. And I’m here to say: . It’s . All . Okay. . The feelings are needed. Not easy, but needed. I do not have all the answers, but I do have this nugget; . Allow your feelings, sweet one. Bow to them. They are sacred like you. Stay alive, vital, flowing and healthy. One emotion is always a doorway to the next - just as one wave leads to another in the ocean. And that next wave might be joy. At some point, it will always be joy.
