These are the main characters from a german childrenâs show called CHI RHO⌠tell me these arenât Mo, Meggie and Farid
thinking about how meggie and brianna are both the spitting image of their respective missing parents and how painful it must have been for mo and roxane to look at them all those years and see the faces of their lost loves looking back. the comfort they may have found in still having pieces of resa and dustfinger in their lives through their children. and then! and then. when theyâve finally been reunited, all resa and dustfinger can think about when they see their daughters is how much they remind them of the partners they lost, because mo and roxane were the ones who actually got to raise them.
May TBR
I have a tag list for when I post tbrs. If you'd like to be added to or removed from it, please let me know!
Here's what I plan on reading in May! I'm hoping to focus on shorter standalone books that aren't fantasy after I finish the books I'm currently reading. I just need something different.
Currently reading:
1. Inkdeath (Inkworld #3) by Cornelia Funke
I'm slowly making my way through. The book is great, I'm just in a reading slump and it is long so I'm finding it hard to pick up due to lack of motivation. I'm hoping to have in done in May.
2. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter #5)
I'm about halfway through the audiobook now. I'm still really enjoying my reread of the series and the darker tone it is going in.
What I plan on reading next:
Priceless: She's Worth Fighting For by Joel and Luke Smallbone with Nancy Rue
This book is the novelization of a movie done by the band For King & Country. I absoulety love the movie and the book. After being in a reading slump for basically all year, I need a quick good book to read and Priceless will hopefully fit this perfectly.

April Wrap Up
I have a tag list for when I post monthly wrap ups. If you'd like to be added to or removed from it, please let me know!
The Green Ember (The Green Ember #1) by S.D. Smith âď¸âď¸âď¸.5/5
2. Ember Falls (The Green Ember #2) by S.D. Smith âď¸âď¸âď¸.5/5
Premise: In the first book, the reader follows two young humanoid rabbits named Picket and Heather. Their family is attacked by wolves led by a general whose father killed the previous king. The heir is in hiding until the time is right to rebel against the dark forces that have taken over.
Heather and Picket are saved by their uncle and his adopted son, while the siblings' parents and baby brother are captured by the wolves. Picket and Heather struggle to fit into the hidden rebellion group and finding their place in it.
In the second book, that place is found and the stakes of the rise as a war begins. Picket is a soldier in the army and Heather is a doctor in training. Together, they must protect the heirs to the Green Ember, the token of the heir's right to rule.
My thoughts: Overall, I enjoyed the two books. They are middle grade, so I'm not the target audience. The narrator is great, the voices he does for all the characters are very well done. I like how well-rounded the characters are and how they struggle. There are a lot of good themes that relate to Christianity. But, the plot twists were predictable to me and I'm not intrigued enough to continue on with the series.

I don't know exactly what I'm going to read after that, but I think I'm going to branch out and take a break from series, long books, and fantasy.

Inkworld book 4 you better not disappoint me like matrix resurrection kind of shit cause my whole mental stability is built on a childhood trilogy and an unstable fictional man called finger-something god help me
I'm loving being back in the world of Inkheart.
If I won the lottery I wouldnât tell anyone but there would be signs*
*I would write produce design and direct a four season long Inkheart TV show adaptation staring Jamie Campbell Bower as Dustfinger
