These two were so down bad for each other it made them look like absolute morons. 

The beep of the machine storing the order snapped her out of her dazed cringefest, and Amy got to work putting together their orders. 

They both had different food tastes, Infinite got a steak sandwich for himself, and Espio had a veggie wrap that the food worker was already hard at work making. 

Poor Silver looked like he was about to rip his quills out as he looked at the names on the order. 

The only thing they both seemed to have the same taste in were their drinks, both getting a latte, and as Amy began the espresso, she smirked a devious little smirk. 

All the while, Espio and Infinite were being uncharacteristically lovey-dovey with each other, so much so they didn’t notice the cinnamon decoration Amy was putting atop the foamy latte milk. 

Silver finished their food first, handing it to them with tired eyes that screamed “put me out of my misery”. 

Amy brought over the lattes and her expression fell to match her fellow hedgehogs. Espio had somehow pulled a rose out of somewhere and was flirting with Infinite, the other’s black fur did little to hide the blush on his muzzle. 

“Espio! Infinite! We’re done!” Silver called out, staring at his best friend and the object of his affections with a deadpan stare. 

The two stepped away from each other awkwardly, grabbing their orders. 

“Have fun with your date, you two. Thank Gaia you finally had the guts to ask each other out.” Amy said with a fake swooning sigh. 

“We’re not—!” 

“This isn’t—!”

The couple sputtered in denial, only to see Amy with a mischievous smirk, and Silver cackling as he stared at their lattes. 

Confused, the two looked down to behold Amy’s latte art, only for their flustered expressions to deepen, causing Silver to stumble to his food prep counter howling with laughter. 

On both their lattes, cinnamon decorated the milk with a simple heart and “E + I 4ever” written inside. 

The feeling of gratification rose in Amy’s chest as her revenge against the two dumbasses was too sweet. 

Silver prepared a takeout order, almost missing an ingredient as he attempted to stifle his laughter, and Amy’s tired mood was lifted as she greeted the next customer with a smile.
