Janus hisses when he gets mad and it sounds a little bit like a lisp so Remus (and Virgil before he left) mocked him for it relentlessly.
This is how they love
Janus mocked Virgil for his eyeshadow, Virgil mocked him back for the lisp, Remus was pretty much invulnerable to the mocking but when Janus and Virgil teamed up to tease him on something? They'd talk over him and pile on and he could never stand the interrupting. That's when he'd get upset and they'd all continue the cycle and it was all in good fun until it wasn't but that never stopped them.
Hating and loving were the same thing to them so it took Janus too long to realize Virgil had redefined love but not hate and there was a disconnect now but Virgil didn't want to fix it anymore.
Do you see the vision. Do the worms speak to you too.
