okay this was supposed to be short but it kind of ran away. Was not able to work in all VTMB main cast. Mostly I was trying to in-vision everyone in 1920s outfits.

Nines, Damsel and Skelter are the three private investigators that make up The Last Round Detective Agency. Skelter volunteered and fought in the Great War. Nines got drafted into the Great War and ended up with a medal that he reluctantly accepted. Damsel ether worked as an army nurse or in airplane manufacturing factory during the war.

Smiling Jack is the drunk that hangs around the neighborhood offering the Last Rounders help and advice but no one can figure out if he’s just a drunk retired PI providing helpful mentorship; a 17th century pirate that ate mermaid flesh and gained immortality; or trickster entity that decided that it likes these three particular humans. They decided it’s better not to ask and treat him as the friendly neighborhood cryptid; pay him with cigars and booze for his help; and ignore when his smile has too many/too sharp teeth. The twins Therese and Jaenette Voerman are the Co-Owners of The Asylum club that is a Speakeasy with a dance floor a rotating lineup of musical talent and shows. Including the Speakeasy’s Burlesque night which Jaenette performs in. Mercurio is their bootleg contact from the Italian Mafia suppling the club with booze. He’s still a smooth talker and always very popular with both the dancers and the patrons. Unlike Vandal Cleaver, the greasy slightly sadistic misanthrope can be found sulking in a dark corner after his shifts as an assistant in the hospital morgue. Issac Abrams is still a film producer but now having to deal with handling the shift from silent films to talkies. Some talent stars like the up and coming new stars such Ash Rivers and Velvet Velour (former big time theater actors) have both the looks and the voice while others such as the Famous silent film actors Gary Golden and Imalia are finding work harder to get as their stunning looks only do so much to make up for their voices (note: I’m trying to work the nosferatu Vs toreador rivalry in and this was my best translation) make his job exceedingly tiresome.

Maximilian Strauss is a well known tenured professor of ether occult studies or ancient civilizations/religions ( take your pick) with a perchance for antiques and curios that may or may not be magical artifacts. Administration tends to look the other way/write off the number of students in his department that get committed to the local asylum or disappear. Some people were not cut out for the riggers of academics. Just keep your hands off the odd thing in his office when you go in to ask for help during his office hours.

Cuthbert Beckett is also a well respected tenured professor of archeology (which one? No one can quite pin down) constantly going on expeditions or giving guest lectures and such. Doesn’t mind students but despises academic teaching (he hates exams more than students do) so does the minimum courses he needs to keep his tenure, relying heavily on teaching assistants. Refuses to teach night classes and good luck getting a hold of him on nights of the full moon, he apparently enjoys driving out to the middle of nowhere to camp and star gaze ALONE (and for NO OTHER reason than to enjoy the stars). Sebastian LaCroix is a New Money Industrialist who made his fortune from the Great War. Maybe he produced Chemicals or Steel, maybe he was in finance or banking. Maybe he now owns warehouses that he rents out which seem to often have missing artifacts and stolen artworks in the ones he’s renting, not his fault they “lied” about what they were using them for storing and none can be tied back to him. Or maybe his factories have an unusual high number of accidents and child workers but clearly the foremen are to blame for these issues. He’s very hard to get an interview with because he’s a very busy man. Also his large/stoic/man of few words body guard Mr. Sheriff(no one is sure what his first name is or if Sheriff is his real last name) is known to throw out any reporters that ask too many questions.
