It's actually criminal that the JXL Image format isn't more popular. I just watched XnConvert turn a 2.5 MB PNG into a 650 KB Lossless JXL. Something as simple as switching encoding technologies literally just saved me 75% of the potential space. Now imagine what my whole 13,000+ (10+ GB) photo library is about to be. Like, wtf.
WEBP deserved better. AVIF deserved better. We need to make sure JXL gets her moment. We have to stop dragging our feet on new Photo and Video codecs just because JPEG, PNG, and GIF "feel" right.
