Every Seed a Tree - Inktober day 26 . #echoInktober, 26/31 . Once they fall the the loamy ground, they prepare to reach once again for the clouds . I tried a different order of painting/inking for this one : I wanted to paint in the trees first because I didn’t want to over ink the pinecone, but I didn’t want to paint the background over the trees, so I started with that… And almost entirely washed out my sketch for the pinecone 😂 I guess this was a good piece to test this on, since stakes are lower if I diverge wildly from my sketch on unpredictable vegetal matter😊Swipe for details, progress pics, tape peeling, and and the print from this pair 🙂 . This one came from remembering that story about squirrels planting a lot of trees from forgetting some of the seeds and nuts they bury for winter (they do find most of them! I’m not even sure I can say as much about the clothes I put away for a season 🙈). Also, drawing tiny trees is fun 😁 . In the process of painting this, my cat stole a drink from my tea, and I washed my brush in my mug soon after that 😅 .
