Zuko looked up at Katara from the cool ground as blades of damp grass prickled his back. He put his hand on Katara's wrist, squeezing tightly, though his body was weak.

"To meet a beautiful woman is one thing, but to meet your best friend in the most beautiful of women is something entirely apart."

they     shouldn’t     be      doing      this .       and     maybe,      back     on      the       ground,      they      wouldn’t .         there      would       always       be      some      fight,      some       war,       some       battle       pitting       her        people      against        his .        but       up        here ,         after       three       &       a       half       years      of      working       together,       learning       together,       fighting       together,       he      is      her        people .      they      all      are .

                           she     stays      silent,     hazel      hues      searching     his      gaze      for     a      moment      longer .      looking       for       even      a      trace      of      regret,      of      uncertainty,        of . . .     a      reason      she      should       turn      around      &      walk       straight        back       to       her       room .       all        she       finds       is       resolve .

He'd  gotten  hurt  pretty  bad,  another  fight  to  keep  Greendale  safe.  Even  as  smart  as  Nick  was,  someone  was  bound  to  get  the  upper  hand  on  him  sooner  or  later.  He  was  now  bed  ridden  though,  until  he  healed.  Hilda  insisted,  even  if  Nick  said  that  he  was  fine  to  move  around.  You  learned  sooner  or  later  that  Hilda  knew  best,  and  he  had  after  he  tried  to  walk  and  ended  up  falling  back  on  the  bed.  

The  room  was  fairly  quiet,  until  Sabrina  made  her  way  in.  "Hey,  spellman."  He  said  casually,  looking  up  from  his  book.  A  new  adition  to  the  library  back  at  the  Academy.  He  wondered  why  she  stayed  so  close  to  the  door  until  she  spoke  and  things  became  clearer.  He  wondered  if  she  felt  like  this  was  her  fault.  

"Of  course  I  would  want  you  to  stay,  this  book  is  interesting  but  I'd  rather  look  at  your  cute  face."  

There has always been hesitation in his words with his father, in some respect. It was not that Legolas did not enjoy conversation with his dad, but it was that they had vastly different ideas in the coming years. Legolas shifted in his seat, and gave pause. Aside from the dwarves in dungeon, there was a key figure missing in these celebrations. “Is there something I should?” He inquires back, bringing a cup up to meet his lips. “Tauriel has strictly avoided me since her meeting with you, is all well?”

EVER THE INTUITIVE ONE, his son always was. And never one to MIND HIS PLACE. The quip warrants no reaction from the king, aside from the placement of his wine glass against a carved wooden table, and an inquisitive tilt of his head.

Overshadowed by a deep boding, it was impossible to stay calm. Whispers upon whispers would reach his ears, one by one louder and louder, more and more intrusive.
