Listen, you can't fuel my David Tennant obsession any further. Posting In 80 Days Around The World stuff is irresponsible!
In the 10+ years you've known me, at what point did I give you the impression that I am a responsible person
Yep, youâre right and it was once upon a time a very common name in Britain. (I wonder why it fell out of fashion?) Weâre still going to giggle like children whenever anyone makes a joke of it!
All the way through the plane scene I was going 'this is not how chemical reactions work, whatever it is you have at the end, it won't be EDTA'. Gwen punching that woman was cool though.
Exactly!! I tried to figure out how it could work a while back, and (whilst Iâm only an A-Level student so donât fully know what Iâm talking about) it failed at the first step. Methanol is sometimes oxidised through heating with a silver catalyst in industry, but the catalyst is a mesh (rather than a necklace), and thereâs no way an airplane kettle could ever be hot enough. Plus, even if oxidation did occur, whatâs to stop the methanal from going straight to methanoic acid? So they wouldnât even have had formaldehyde, let alone EDTA.
r.i.p Jack. But dare I say....... it was worth it for Gwen âIâm Welshâ Cooper

Wasn't there also a scene with naked Lesley in her 'apartment'?
I donât believe so - at least not in my collected copy of Night Witch, and I donât think we see her apartment in Detective Stories, the âpresent dayâ of that just has her texting Peter. She hasnât shown up in any of the other comics yet.Â
Oh, hey, thatâs also made me realise that the comics have roughly followed the pattern of the books with even-numbered runs touching in with the main FM/Lesley plot of the series, which gives me a thought about Water Weed...
