Spider - ASTLIBRA Revision
Big, cavern-dwelling spiders that will try to bite you. They raise their front legs before doing so like a tarantula's threat display. Not sure if it's a tarantula itself though.

Darryl - Look Outside
"I love my friends. My parents are gone, but everyone plays with me! But they all stop playing after one game. They get tired..."
A former human twisted into a new shape after Looking Outside. The Visitor's influence has warped him into a tailless whip scorpion monster, with an elongated neck and a pair of arms that can be retracted into the rest of his arthropoid body.
He's actually an innocent child who lost his parents in the apocalypse, and does not seem to be fully aware of his actions. Despite all the monsters going around he just wants to play hide and seek, only noticing that his playmates "get tired" after one game.
He remains friendly throughout battle, and will give the player a unique item if they played with him by closing their eyes when prompted.
Spider Cherub - Caves of Qud
"Dials tick and vacuum tubes mantle under synthetic chitin and inside plastic joints. eightfold gams, hundred lenses, and ageless bearing are wrought from a vast and furcate machinery into the ideal form of the spider. By the artistry of its construction, it closely resembles its referent, but an exposed cog here and an exhaust valve there betray the truth of its nature. Its movements are short and mimetic; it inhabits the valley between the mountains of life and imagination."
The idealized form of a spider, created by the Sultanate to guard the sarcophagus and reliquary of a Sultan who favoured the arachnid faction (as in, arachnids as a whole count as such, you can have reputation with them that affects random cave spiders and the like). Seemingly the Sultanate's ideal spider has a distinct head and a more insect-like body plan. Literally unplayable, smh my head.
The Tomb of Eaters is a rather late-game area, and the cherubim are very powerful creatures by default, and have a special trait associated with the Sultan they protect the tomb of. I spawned these in with commands so they lack such modifiers but usually they get a different colour scheme based on the modifier.
Sultans from the 4th period and onward instead have weaker, mechanical cherubim, representing the gradual decline of the Sultanate.
(Cherubs all share the same description save for some keywords so the quote here is for the mechanical version. The Insect Cherub post already has the base one.)
KO Kabuto - Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
"With a cannon for a horn and an ironclad frontal defense, this sharpshooting beetle battler will be tough to dent unless you can get behind it."
A Dream Eater resembling a Japanese rhino beetle with four legs and two arms. Also has a stick statche. It has both Spirit and Nightmare versions, which essentially means that it's available both as a party member and as an enemy, with different colour schemes for each.
It is worth noting that its horn is a cannon, and has access to various ranged attacks. Also a defensive support move but that's still something it shoots out of its cannon horn. It does unlock a variety of defensive abilities for Sora or Riku though!
Y'know, I always forget that male Japanese rhino beetles have that smaller, horn-like bit sticking out of their thorax. It has always been there but somehow it never sticks in my memory.
Messenger Moth - Black Skylands
Round, roughly chicken-sized moths used to deliver messages between floating islands and airships. Most NPC ones have a nice black and yellow colouration, although Luma, the one the player gets, is pure white.
Gameplay-wise Luma can be used to grab items and resources from a distance, carrying big boxes of ore and scrap dropped by destroyed airships to yours. A very strong moth!

Worker Ant - Caves of Qud
"Fragrant sour gas plumes from the tiny pores scattered across its broad gaster, and scalded feelers writhe and rub the thickened air."
Giant ants that dwell in the ruins on their own, or alongside a Fire Ant Queen. They emit gas from their abdomens instead of flames.
While it lacks any of the fire-related mutations and heat resistance of other ants, it can emit corrosive gas and has heightened hearing. But the gas is indiscriminate, and other ants don't have any acid resistance, so it can be a big threat to the swarm as a whole. I've seen a Fire Ant Queen die from the gas produced by the Worker Ant it spawned...
Spider Grub - FlyKnight
A standard, non-anthropomorphic spider. Quite round and cute.
Also hostile, and maybe a little more aggressive than grubs or stinkbugs, but still not much of a threat.
