Other Goals of My Minimalism Approach
Keeping only one tab open in my browser.
To cease scanning articles, and instead truly read them, regardless of their length. Fully processing the information, creating a true analysis of them.
Committing my mind fully to a topic I am currently interested in instead of only finding basic information and making assumptions of my knowledge.
To cease my idealizations of my intelligence, and instead admit lack of knowledge, and be truthful in my desires for education in a topic. (As well as committing to this education.)
To cease multitasking. Keeping the television off when on my laptop. Keeping the laptop off when I am watching the telly. Reading without music, listening to music without reading. Doing just laundry, instead of laundry and another chore.
To fully involve in a conversation, instead of half-listening with my mind elsewhere. (This will most likely be one of the hardest things for me to break.)
To not constantly occupy myself with games on my phone. Instead, relaxing and truly paying attention to the moment I am relaxing in. (This is especially true for when I am out smoking.)
To reduce my internet time to two hours or less in a day. From this, finding other activities in which to involve myself.
Reducing the amount of television I was to a maximum of five shows (two and a half hours) or two movies (four hours). This includes any time I fall back into multitasking.Β
To truly value what I am investing myself in.
To only check my e-mail once a day.
