Our #dinner tonight. I was deep into organizing the condo and unpacking moving boxes, and Erik was at a guitar lesson so I had to make something quick for this evening's late dinner. I bought these hot dogs #🌭 from @lightlifefoods at #safeway last night not knowing when I'd use them. I've never purchased vegan processed "meat" like this before but I thought it would be interesting and after intense scrutiny these hot dogs were the only thing on the shelf that was #vegan as well as #glutenfree. So! We tried these tonight and tried something else new, this #vegancheese from @fieldroast! It was tasty. Had a kick to it. #🧀 #🌶 The hot dogs were good too. I never liked hot dogs when I wasn't vegan so I didn't have high expectations. Next time I think I'll boil them and then pan fry (I just pan fried them tonight and the inside was still a little too... idk not quite "cooked" enough- it was difficult to cut through). For the rest of the dinner I made sweet potato fries #🍟 using only our toaster oven because I left all our baking trays at our old house. Lol 😂😅 And finally, we also had a prepackaged miso soup #🍜 from @lotusfoods (I posted it on my story the other day- it was good!). I made more of the plantain chips and gave those along with hummus to Erik as an appetizer.
