Japanese Hairstyles: Historical Overview Part 02: Womenâs Hairstyles of the Edo Period, Part 03
Hairstyle Name: Momo-ichou (ćĄéć) lit. âPeach Ginkgoâ
This hairstyle is a variation of the Ichogaeshi style, which appears to be the midpoint between it and the Momoware style. The âwingsâ of the topknot look distinctly like the âwingsâ of the Ichougaeshi style, while the use of kanoko creates a much fuller look compared to the usual fabric wraps used for the Ichougaeshi style.
