In episode 16 Cho yeon said โA really powerful priestess can control peoples souls and trap them to be helplessโ this gave us the idea that mudeok/buyeon was the one who picked naksu to soul shift into her body and hid both of their energies.
In episode 13 Jin mu said โThe power of the ice stone came from the skies. Thus its power can also be taken away by the skiesโ after saying this we got a flashback of young buyeon trying to destroy the ice stone but since she was still a child she didnโt have enough energy to do so.
We also know that possessing the ice stone also gives you the power of Hwansu but you need to be able to practice spells to use it. The Jin family inherited divine powers rather than spell based oneโs.
Mudeok/buyeon needed naksu so that her body could be able to cast spells and use hwansu to stop Jin mu and shaman Choi from using the ice stone for evil deeds but sadly since Mudeok/buyeon was revived by the power of the ice stone I think destroying it would end up killing her aswell so instead of going down alone she will trap herself and Shaman Choiโs souls in the alchemy of souls where both their souls will die.
