From April, actually-- worked on a video for an 8 year old cover of mine, of Itai Atashi Ashita Aitai.

Well, figuring out how to metro was certainly a journey. I think we spent an hour trying to figure out how the metro and buses work but eventually my friend was able to get together a better plan than our original one. 

Getting our Metro Tap Cards was interesting. Basically,

*walks into store and looks through gift cards* *walks around store trying to find*  *is confused*  *asks worker*

And when we finally got it, it worked but, it only worked once. When we got off the bus to get onto the metro, we had to pay again because apparently it didn’t work the second time??? (we got day passes so it should have worked)

Anyways, the ride wasn’t too bad. Usually I get motion sickness v easily but in the metro I felt fine. I felt very relaxed actually. 

*skips over a bit because nothing really happened in the metro ride* 

Once we got there we went into the line right away and when we finally got in, we were kinda awkward af. 

I really wanted a photo with DANakaDAN if possible but he was constantly busy doing interviews and talking to people. He even had to take a phone call at one point. I just really didn’t want to bother him. 

I had a few chances to take a picture with Mike Bow but again, didn’t want to bother him because he looked busy most of the time. 

My friend really wanted to get a photo with The Filharmonic but they too were busy and we did not want to bother them. 

Plus.... we’re just awkward af and too polite for this shit. 

Us getting to our seats (Apparently they just check your ticket and let you in. Like they didn’t scan the tickets or anything and there was no set seating. They kinda just pointed you in the direction of the chairs and tell you to sit somewhere. My friend and I were expecting a legit thing where they tell you were your seats are and stuff LOL) > waiting for the show to start > etc

The show itself was kinda a blur. I remember everything but I don’t know the order HAHAH (I mean, I’m just gonna go through my snapchat story oop)

Okie so Filharmonics opened the show with two of their songs. Amazing as always. I don’t know then too well, my friend’s the fan, but I still love them. They’re so good ;u;

SETI X came on after to rap

The next thing was Beau Sia who is an amazing poet. He read out a poem of his about the importance of voting as an Asian American.

Poreotics were up next. I honestly haven’t thought about them for such a long time. I use to be a fan (because they’re from my area heh) but they kinda disappeared from the limelight. They were awesome anyways. I didn’t recognize like 4/5 of them because I guess they got new members/old members left or something. 

AND THEN DANakaDAN WAS UP NEXT AND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH AHHH

He sang Alive with another guy (I can’t remember who he was sorry ;o;) Although, the song was with Jun Curry Ahn in the music video, it was still really beautiful I love that song so much omfg 

He did his usual hair flipping and it was adorable. He ran off the stage and into the crowds a bit and when he tried to get back onto the stage he had trouble getting up hahahahah I love him so much he’s so tiny (but still bigger than me tbh)

Professor Kent Wong and Tess Parash then came onto the stage to make a speech again to encourage us to vote and to inspire us.  

Next up was AJ Rafael, and he also sang with Megan Lee, and then Megan Lee did a set herself. 

Jose Antonio Vargas also came onto the stage to make another inspiring speech. 

Then the cast of Miss Saigon did a few songs from Hamilton

and then Kevin So came on and started singing America and eventually everyone came onto the stage and stared to sing with him and it was a v nice ending ahhh 

There were other people who made speeches and performed but I forget their name/when they came on stage so I’m sorry @them hahahaha 

We went the the afterparty next door to the theater and got something to eat. We decided to get mexican at a food truck and we found one of the Filharmonics there also getting food from the same truck and my friend got a photo with him and we talked with him a bit. He complimented our outfits and we talked about our hair because we all had similar haircuts and about the food since we were getting the same thing. 

When I got my food he said “Oh, you got the Carne Asada fries too! Tell me how it is” As I was putting a few in my mouth already and I basically mumbled as best as I could to him “it’sprettygood” and tried not to spill. A few of the other members of the Filharmonics showed how and I got a photo with one of them because he was my fav and he’s flippin adorable slahdf;lasdh and my friend got a photo with the rest. (except for two who decided not to show up at this food truck like everyone else LOL) 

After we ate we walked around a bit trying to see if anyone else was there and I was trying to find Dan but he was gone for most of the night. 

We kept seeing AJ Rafael everywhere and it’s not that we don’t like him it’s just that I was a huge fan a while back and I kinda got over him (specially since he stopped producing music) sorry AJ hahahah 

I eventually got a photo with Dan because I saw him talking to Taylor and his friends and when he was leaving I asked him really quickly for a photo and I just about died. He’s such a nice guy and I’m so happy I was able to finally see him perform and to meet him. He asked if the photo was okay and if it looked nice. And I justaslidjf;ldj he’s so nice I love him ahhhhh 

My friend and I waited a bit after the after party ended to try to get a photo with Phil and Taylor because APPARENTLY they were there but they were on the stage the entire time and we felt weird about just going up there to ask so we just left. 

Our ride back was interesting. 

Our metro apparently wasn’t going the direction we expected it to go so we had to get off and take another one but we figured it out and it all worked out fine. 

The ride back wasn’t very productive. We just sat there. 

There was one part where this woman to the side of me/behind me was on the phone and it was just super sad to hear. She kept begging her child to come home and that the person that they were with didn’t want them and that she missed them and wanted them to come home. And I just felt so sorry for her and her situation. But I didn’t want to turn around or anything because obviously it wasn’t my buisness I just felt so sorry for her. I HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR YOU STRANGER ;___; 

The rest of the ride back was chill tho. I started to feel sleepy about half way. I think it was just the motion of being in a train and the fact that there was so much excitement throughout the day.
