Episode four of HALF MAN has aired and while I do miss Mitchell Robertson and Stuart Campbell, having Jamie Bell center stage is always a wonderful thing and he did not disappoint.
But a brief thought about this episode.
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS I said SPOILERS for 1x4.
Oh look! A cop show. Followed by a hospital drama. Followed by a show about firefighters. Followed by a cop show. Followed by a hospital drama. Followed by a show about firefighters. *nervously shuffles paper* “Uh yeah, this TV show is about….uh….Man? Who…..does the things? And…..uh….you know. Stuff?” *shakes head in uncertainty*

“I proclaim this…. The summer of George!”
I can't believe that I'm about to say this but,
I miss cable tv.
I miss being able to tune into a show at X time every couple weeks and the excitement of waiting. of anticipation.
Asking my friends if they are going to be tuning in at the same time as me. I don't want to be sitting here watching a TV show all by myself without engaging with other people for hours and hours and hours.
It makes me upset when I chose to watch a show and then it's all gone and I ask around and no one has seen it. no one will humor me and say yes, I will set aside time to watch this and spend 3 days binge watching it but that's not fair. not reasonable and I know that.
maybe it's not cable TV that I miss but being able to consume media normally
or maybe not?
Who remembers when cartoons were good?
