I’m actually still sad that Spideyvenom the ship never got that big, it was my rare pair hell as a kid (the symbiote canonically preferring Peter as a host?? Peter being able to be like “I’ll take you back” to separate the symbiote from host??? fucking love it) and I also really like Peter/Brock as a pairing, cause I’m just a huge enemies to lovers fan
But despite all that, back then there weren’t v many fics and almost all of them were either onesided or non consensual stuff
And then the new Venom movies started coming out!! And I was so excited that this pairing would get its chance to shine, but even tho there are more fics, it still didn’t have the resurgence I thought it would, and most of the fics are Brock/Venom centered without that dynamic of Peter being the first host that ruined other hosts for Venom
So yeah I’m a bit bummed at that, but at least now it doesn’t feel like a wild thing to say I like spideyvenom
