The basement of the Case-Dvoor Farmhouse at the Dvoor Farmstead in Flemington, NJ. Originally owned by William Penn, the property was sold to Johan Philip Kaes (later Anglicized to Kase and then Kase) in 1738. The stone farmhouse was constructed in 1798 and the land served as farmland for over 200 years. In the 1930s, the Dvoor Bros. Minebrook Stock Farm opened and was run by family members until the 1990s. Inside the #cellblock of the historic Hunterdon County Jail, originally built in 1828 and rebuilt in 1925, behind the Courthouse on Main Street in Flemington, #NewJersey. The building contained a warden’s apartment, an office, and accommodations for 30 male and 5 female prisoners. The jail was also used to house Bruno Richard #Hauptmann, who was tried and convicted of the fatal kidnapping of the twenty month old son of Charles and Anne Lindbergh, residents of Hopewell.
