we're getting towards the final few days of the sign-up period! if you haven't already begun your sign-up, do have a look before this weekend so you know what to do, and so you have the chance to dm me with any questions you have! link here!

a summary of the event in case anyone missed my (possibly annoying) reblogs:

ao3 fic exchange event of single (100), double (200), or triple (300) drabbles

each person will be matched with a compatible request and get to write them a secret gift

all requests will be visible after the sign-up so that additional treats can be written if desired

LONG writing period from 16th september to 28th october, so you can do the minimum and very leisurely write 100 words. but there is no maximum number of drabbles you can submit 😏

fics will go live on hallowe'en and the authors revealed on 4th november

please make sure you're really generous with the amount of prompts you give. it's so useful to give your gifters options, because not everyone will vibe with one particular idea and might with a different one that you also like! and it gives everyone a chance to possibly write you more than one thing!! you can still edit your requests at any point up until the sign-up closes.

Dimity Drill isn't one of those witches who thinks that everything witches do is automatically superior. Non-magical people, in the absence of spells and charms, have found other ways of making life interesting.

For example, non-magical people are the ones who invented rollercoasters.

'Why on earth do you want to go on a rollercoaster?' Julie had teased, bumping her hip into Dimity's. 'You can already fly!'

But there's something different about this - the way gravity hurls them up peaks and down troughs, the rattling speed of it, the tiny thrill of helplessness as they drop.

Ok, I'm writing what I think we should see in this for fanfic writers grab and use it. Since "The Proposal" by @concreteangel1221 (go read this fic is amazing) I need more rom com/worst witch fanfics and Parent Trap is what we need. And honestly @concreteangel1221 said it would be perfect for Hecate to be in Nick's part and Pippa in Elizabeth's sooo that's settled.

First I like to propose to still be a story in the magic world, like they can produce wine, witch's brew or whatever and wedding dresses or witches outfits. Or not. Just do what you want, but I like magic and that's what I'm working in this whole idea.

Second thing I would like to see. Julie Hubble is Martin and she is the one sending Mildred for the Magic Camp, of course Pippa came up with the idea because she used to go to this Magic Camp when she was younger. Or Miss Bat. I'm sure Miss Bat would be great as the Grandmother helping Mildred with her plan.

We don't have time for twins here, but we have magic and that can help us. Okay, Julie is Martin and bla bla bla but what about Hecate?

Dimity is Chessy. That's not even a proposition, in this Alternative Universe no one else can be the sassy friend but Dimity. I'm thinking of her adopting Indigo, or Hecate but I like the idea of Dimity being Indigo's mother and how she turns out to be extremely powerful and very mischievious so we're going with that. Dimity sends Indigo to that Magic Camp because even Hecate-No-More-Joy-Just-Work Hardbroom likes her and said it's a great Camp.

We have our twins. I'm thinking in Algernon for the Camp Director but we can work with Ada too. Perhaps Ada is for the best.

ANYWAY we need a Meredith Blake.

Who is going to be Meredith I don't even know. Agatha ? Miss Gullet ? A OC ? You choose.

Let's go with Miss Gullet because no one would ever agree to that and that's why we hate Meredith so much. No one ships it and that's how should be.
