A Soviet Officer shakes hands with the man who shot down Hs 129 B-2 W. Nr. 141263 (No. 327), 11 October 1943.
This specific plane was briefly featured as a premium in War Thunder, although the pilot, Lt Munteanu, was unmentioned.
Details of Munteanu’s life while Romania flew for the Axis Powers are hard to come by. After Romania become an Allied Power he continued to fly Hs 129s. He was ironically shot down by AAA again, only this time it was by the Germans.
