The Blohm & Voss BV 141 broke all the rules of symmetry: its cockpit was offset to one side of the fuselage. Despite its bizarre appearance, it flew perfectly stable and offered exceptional visibility for reconnaissance missions, although only 38 units were built and operated by the Luftwaffe. It has been and still is considered the most asymmetrical aircraft in the history of aviation. It is one of the best examples that “weird” does not mean “inefficient”.
