Pre-Kerb, Post-S7 antics
Imagine if pre-Kerberos Matt and Shiro had a mutual friend who deemed them the Weasley twins on account of Matt's mischief and the two being inseparable best friends and brothers in all but blood. Shiro was George, on account of he already had a partner and Matt was Fred because, honestly, of the two he's most likely to get injured or what have you because scrawny nerd.
So when they all get back the friend (I'm gonna say they're a girl) has survived to the duo's pleased surprise. And the first thing out of her mouth after the obligatory "I'm glad you're back/alive/not-having-a-total-meltdown-that-leaves-you-rocking-yourself-in the-corner-mumbling-nonsense" is "You may not like it, but someone's gotta say it. You two are now switched. Shiro's Fred and Matt has been upgraded to George."
Shiro shrugs like 'cool, fine with me' and Matt chuckles nudging Shiro while he says, "heh, I got an upgrade for once." Everyone else in the room who knows about HP is just like "Wut, y?"
And the friend says, "Well Fred died and Shiro did too, temporarily, and Shiro is now minus one significant other. Matt survived and plus one significant other so yeah, it's official now."
Everyone else is aghast because, you can't just say stuff like that no matter how true it is and Keith's lookin at her like, 'if I weren't stuck right here I'd fight you, bitch.' Then Matt starts busting his gut laughing doubled over, whole shebang, and Shiro just has a slight content smile on his face and sighs nostalgicly while he says, "It's good to be back, and I'm glad some things will never change."
