PREVIEW:My Darling,Oedipus
An Au where Honerva doesnât loose her memories, and rules at Zarkonâs side,as he his Witch Empress. An Au, where Lotor is not genocidal manic. I mean the whole he was experimenting on Alteans this whole time, is definitely a Zarkon thing to do. Not someone who did everything in his power to preserve Altea.Â
She feels sick, and her heart aches, seeing her son in his chains, but it had to be done, for Lotor refused to heel, he fought, screamed, kicked, shouted, bit, and struggled and strained at his binds like a man gone mad. His mane wild much like his eyes, as he lundged himself at the guards who tired to lead him to the flagship. Â
âLotor, please calm yourself.â
âHe slaughtered them! They were innocents! Women, Children! They harmed no one!â
âYour father did what had to be done,Lotor. Please, understand that.â she rebuffs him as calmly as possible.
âUnderstand,â itâs a whisper âUnderstand! IT WAS MINDLESS SLAUGHTER! A POINTLESS ANNIHILATION OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATION!â
âHe destroyed what remained of Altea! He destroyed my people, your people!â
âThey are my people no longer! All them Alfor, the rest, all fools! Do you not understand, My Lotor, what would have become of the universe, if we had listen to them! Our empire wouldnât be what it is today, if it werenât for my research, your father, and quitensence that fills our very beings!â she gently cups his cheeks, her gaze soft, and delicate,as she regards her only son, though in a irate state-he would soon understand. â Sacrifices must be made to ensure the future of our empire, My Lotor, not matter how many, not matter the cause, regardless of who, it must be done. As future Emperor you must understand this, that you mustnât show mercy to those that oppose you.â Â
Lotor doesnât answer, in fact his face is vacant of any emotion she could define, but his cobalt eyes bore into hers.
Though, heâs stopped his childish struggling, she can help, but be weary.
âSo.â he finally averts his gaze âI finally see you for what you truly are.â
