Planet Kaimera was viewed as inhabitable planet for millions of decapheobs. That was until a colony of shapeshifters decided to find refuge there. It was on that planet that the Morphi became the most advanced civilisation in their solar system. As eons passed their civilisation grew and rose up from the ashes, until the galra launched an attack. The fight lasted days and nights. The Morphi were finally at their breaking point, so as a last hope they sent the child of the lead chief off into the vast abyss of space. Hoping that they would carry on their legacy, that maybe they would help fight against Zarkon.
