Homoromantic: romantically homo-; experiencing romantic attraction to the same/similar gender(s) of your own.

Nebularomantic: A feeling that one cannot distinguish between romantic attraction and platonic feelings due to neurodivergence.

I designed a homo- flag!

This includes all forms of homo- attraction/homo- orientations.

Each color is paired with a similar color to represent attraction to and relationships between similar genders. This is also meant to visually illustrate that homo- individuals aren’t necessarily attracted to the exact same gender exclusively, eg. a homosexual man might be attracted to both binary and nonbinary men, or individuals that are multigender with at least one of those genders being masculine. The outermost stripes being purple represents purple’s history as a symbolic color of the LGBTQIA+/gay/queer communities, which intersect directly with the homo- community.

Why not just use the rainbow flag? Despite the rainbow flag often being denoted as the official homo- flag, it has been used to represent a lot of other identities, and even the entire community at times. It is also typically only used to represent sexual and romantic attraction when used as the homo- flag. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but a lot of us are tired of the confusion and lack of distinct representation, so this helps us in that regard.

This flag is fully inclusive of all homo- identities and homo- individuals of all genders. Any form of exclusionist/gatekeeper can’t use this flag, because this is for EVERYONE in the community, not just the ones you deem valid, and using it without believing in what it stands for is despicable.

Well let me tell you something son, the prefix homo- actually has many meanings depending on what it is added to.

For homosapien, it means of the Earth. A sapien of the Earth. Human has a similar meaning. ( The word "human" itself is from Latin humanus, an adjective cognate to homo, both thought to derive from aProto-Indo-European word for "earth" reconstructed as *dhǵhem-.)

When it is added to homosexual it means "the same", and that's what the definition of homosexual is. Having sexual attraction to a person of the same sex.
