i've never liked the take "the proliferation of 'daddy' as a name in sex is the normalization of incest" because it's a surface-level read of the phenomena; it'd be like saying "red light, green light" is car propaganda. imo the better, feminist interpretation is that fatherhood in patriarchy is seen as sexual conquest and domination fulfilled, making the father a sex symbol. and you dont necessarily need to be into incest to still find the idea of fucking a father hot (see: me and every fag i've ever known). like i think it's easier to say "people call their partners 'daddy' during sex because that is a cultural referrant for sexual dominance, not because freud was right".
