Why am I using cartoons and whimsical images? It's not because I'm immature. 🤪 Some of the abuse tactics are nasty and pretty intense in nature, to make light of how far folks go, makes the subject matter easier to talk about. It's also better to see the humor within the chaos.
The pest control dropped some things in my toilet and it wasn't 🧻or💩.
Around this time I also noticed I was being followed and watched by supervisors at work. They’d either meet and listen in while I spoke to colleagues in the lunchroom or followed me around the warehouse on site. My supervisor questioned why I carried two phones (which was actually a battery pack that charges my phone) and a colleague even got annoyed one morning and yelled that ‘they’ were watching me. I asked her who? And she told me management was watching me.
On my last day at work, thankfully I was able to move on at the right time, my supervisor mentioned that they were investigated by the CRA (in Canada) and that some staffing agencies (they previously worked with one) was implicated with the cartel. I’m not sure why she told me this information and what that had to do with an organic food place, but this is wha she revealed.
I was relieved to leave that place because of what appeared to be monitoring behaviour. When I explain all the ways I noticed specific behaviour but it was concerning.
