Hi I'm a bisexual woman as well as Autistic and I'm so happy this blog exists for lgbt+ folks on the Autism Spectrum! đâ¤đ
Thank you!!!
Here's a headcanon for you hun: Mycroft used to read the Winnie the Pooh Bear series to Sherlock when they were little, and Mycroft still reads to Sherlock whenever he's going through drug withdrawals today but Sherlock never remembers and thinks Mycroft doesn't care about him. And now I've made myself sad đ but I hope it distracts you from real life troubles! đ
aww no :(((
and what if when they were little mycroft reads it to sherlock before sherlock goes to sleep and twhen he wakes up, sherlock doesnt remember and thinks myc doesnt care and tells mummy that and thats why mummy thinks mycroft is ânot the grown upâ :(
House Rules by Jodi Picoult is about an Autistic teen who's arrested and charged with the death of his former Support Worker. It does get pretty ableist but I felt it was a good portrayal of Autism and the discrimination towards Autistics from both the general public and the Law Enforcement/Judicial systems. đ
Thatâs cool! Iâve never read it, but I have heard about some of the ableism in the book.- Olly
Sherlolly au: Pirates of the Caribbean (the first movie) đ
Molly Hooper lives with her father, the governor of Port Royal, Jamaica. When she was a young girl, she and her father had rescued a young boy from a shipwreck. The boy in question, Sherlock Holmes, was the only survivor. Molly found a gold pirate medallion around his neck and kept it for safekeeping, afraid he would be convicted of being a pirate. Her father takes Sherlock in and raises him alongside Molly.
Many years pass, and Sherlock and Molly have fallen in love, although her father would never approve of their relationship. He promises Mollyâs hand in marriage to Tom, a Commodore in the British navy. Pirates attack the colony one night, drawn to the medallion Molly still wears around her neck. They kidnap her and take her to their leader, a ruthless pirate named Magnussen.
When he discovers that sheâs been taken, Sherlock teams up with the imprisoned pirate Captain James Moriarty, who has his own reasons for wanting to catch the cursed pirates who have stolen Molly. He tells Sherlock that he knew his brother, a brilliant pirate in his own right.

So I do hope you enjoy, hun!

âI would much rather just stay and study,â Molly said, gesturing to the stack of books to her right. âYou know Archer is a pain in the arse when thereâs a holiday on the weekend. She looks for any excuse to drop a surprise exam on us.â
Meena rolled her eyes and tugged Mollyâs other arm. âItâs Halloween, love. Time for you to loosen up, be someone youâre not for a change.â
âSomeone cool?â Molly asked, raising an eyebrow.
âYou know I always think youâre cool, even if youâre a nerd,â Meena shot back, and Molly had to grin at that. That was why they were friends, and had been for years. Molly eyed the early eighties era Madonna get-up on her bed and Meena watched with a grin on her face. âYou know if anyone can pull the tarted up bride look itâs you.â
âJust donât expect me to writhe around on the floor or anything,â she said, allowing Meena to pull her away from her desk. âAre we going to a party?â
âThereâs a celebration going on in the quad. Haunted house, booths, things like that.â Meena let go of her hand and went to the dress, picking it up and then shaking it once. âGet a move on! We have tarting up to do!â
A bit of dark lipstick, wild eyeshadow and a whole mess of hairspray later and the two of them joined the crowd outside. Molly really wasnât the type to do much in university. She was pulling more than the average course load, trying to go pre-med as well as taking classes in forensic science. Sheâd always been fascinated in the field of forensic pathology, from an early age, and while it had made some people rather nervous and worried about her, sheâd had equally as many supportive people help her get on the right track in school and then look into the right universities. She had even lined up an internship to help at St Bartholomewâs during her gap year.
And then her father got sick and the whole plan went to hell.
She almost put uni aside completely but he told her she had to go. It was his dying wish. So now, even though he was still alive and slowly dying, she was at uni, trying to do her absolute best. Most of the time that meant her nose in a book but she knew her father would want her to have fun every once in a while.
Meena looked around and then zeroed in on the haunted house. âLooks like itâs nothing to be scared of,â she said.
Molly, however, didnât quite agree, from the looks of one or two of the people exiting. âI donât know, Meena.â
âOh, come on, Mols. You know Iâll protect you,â Meena said. âItâll be fun.â
âYou say that now, but if it isnât...â
âIf it isnât, Iâll find you a nice bloke and weâll get you a good snog. Howâs that?â Meena said, taking her head. Ever since they got to uni Meena had made a concerted effort to land Molly somebody, and without much success. Molly was hoping she would give up soon.
It looked as though the haunted house was one of the buildings that had a few large multipurpose rooms that had been turned into mazes. Meena kept a tight grip on Mollyâs hand at first while things were tame, but after a while, she let go and wandered off farther and farther ahead. Molly had started to get bored until someone reached out and grabbed her arm from one of the doorways. She turned and let out a right hook, surprised to see sheâd smacked a zombie in the center of their face. Their hands went right to it and they yelled âDamn!â
âDonât fucking touch me!â Molly snapped.
âI was just trying to tell you your mate skipped off with our Bride of Frankenstein!â she heard a distinctly pained male voice say. âYouâre Molly, right?â
Her eyes went wide as she realized this was not part of the haunted house set-up. âOh, I am so sorry,â she said. She looked around and realized there was a door to an office of some sort next to them, and took him by the elbow and led him in, turning on the light and sitting him on the sofa there. Someone had put black paper on the windows so the light wasnât going out. âLet me see if I broke your nose.â
âNo, Iâve broken my nose before,â he said. âYou just bruised it.â He pulled his hand away and gave her a rather sheepish smile. âI really shouldnât have grabbed you, should I?â
She chuckled softly. âNo, not in a haunted house,â she said. She looked at his face. âI canât tell with all the makeup but Iâll bet Iâve given you a black eye.â
âProbably.â He extended his hand to her. âJohn Watson.â
âMolly. Well, I mean you know that. Molly Hooper, I mean.â
He pulled his hand away and shook a finger at her. âYouâre Archerâs favorite student, arenât you?â
âNot that Iâm aware of,â she said, surprised.
âIâm her TA. She likes your work. Says itâs neat and orderly. Youâll make a good doctor.â He grinned at her. âI think during your class Iâm in one of my other classes, so thatâs why we havenât met.â
âOh, so youâre pre-medicine too?â she asked.
He nodded. Yeah. Iâm a few years ahead of you. Iâm going to med school in two years. I think Iâm going to specialize in family medicine. What about you?â
âActually, I want to go into forensic pathology,â she said, a bit embarrassed.
âReally?â he said. âYouâll have to tell me more.â
âRight now?â she asked. He nodded. âOkay,â she said before launching into why sheâd decided on that field. Suddenly she wasnât upset at Meena for abandoning her. She had the feeling it was going to be quite a good evening after all...
3, 17 and 26 for the fan fics ask please
3. Name three favorite writers: Gonna go with published authors here. Elizabeth Peters, Dean Koontz and Jasper fforde. I have loads more but they are consistently in my top ten.
17. Favorite trope: Still vamp!lock.
26. Story youâre most proud of: For me, this translates to âstory Iâve managed not to start hatingâ lol. For one shots I guess it would probably be âA Gleeful Noiseâ because it was the very first prompt I ever filled, and for multichap fics it would probably be âTornâ because it was my first AU for the Sherlock fandom and one of my darkest pieces of writing.
The list these questions come from is here if anyone else is interested.
Unpopular opinion by hobbitlover89: I believe Mary and John really did love each other to the moon and back and that Mary loved Sherlock like a brother. I believe Mary had very good reasons for shooting Sherlock and I don't begrudge her that.
