As far as I know, Meena is the only character whose info changes before and after any part of story mode.
Generally, I view Sig and Amitie as characters who revolve around accepting others. Primp Town is full of people who feel othered for various reasons, but Amitie is really the only one to go out of her way to push through others pushing her away because of that feeling of 'otherness'. And Meena being such an isolated character and her first friend being Sig, who does accept others but is more introverted... That the love and care he has for others is right there under that introverted surface. That she thought Sign't was her friend and she was so desperate for one that she just let him use her. That Sig forgives and accepts her as a friend despite her accidentally putting him through hell because she didn't mean it and she's so lonely.
SHE IS SIG'S FRIEND. IT IS THAT IMPORTANT. IT IS THE ENTIRE POINT.
