Some reflections after scrolling through my #laugh rule 2015 -> 2023: I love humour that involves words being not quite right. So many posts in there are of the letters moved around on sign variety (a la how bad can a bad girl get). Also captcha comics (who turgled) and signs displayed so they are read wrong (Greek Nathan’s ten foot yogurt dogs).
And being able to locate a 151 note post from 2016 was so satisfying. Perhaps I would like to tag more things…

i wish people could also acknowledge that “holistic” review also has problems. if you’re reviewing applications “holistically” and not taking into account grades i want to know what it is you’re actually taking into account. the ivy league the applicant attended? the fancy unpaid internships they had throughout undergrad? their stellar (neurotypical) interviewing skills? their appearance? their white-sounding name? people act as though “holistic” review will automatically be the solution to knocking down barriers to entry, as though it was not literally spearheaded by h*v*rd in 1926 to keep out jewish students.
