Through sound, i survive
Even with my mental health struggles, or maybe because of them, this sensitive part of me never disappeared. i feel deeply in a world that’s too loud or too empty. Energy, tension, shifts in the air before words are ever spoken. I live with chaos, with overload, with days that hurt. But my sensitivity is not just a symptom. It’s not only pain. I love to dance, because my body knows what my mind can’t hold. Movement keeps me grounded when thoughts spiral. I know when something is wrong. I feel bad intentions. I feel love. I feel when something is off. And music? Music moves through my nervous system, through scars and overstimulation, through survival itself. This sensitivity exists, despite my mental illness. And sometimes it’s the very thing that keeps me alive..
