Time has passed but I'm not better, just older.
What sucks about going to a school with smart people is that even though you know your smart, you never feel it. I know I do well in all of my classes and my grades are good, but I look at my friends who (we have a level system) are taking higher levels and getting good grades there. It makes me feel dumb. I hate it when my parents tell me I’m a genius because it makes me feel like I’m not living up to their expectations compared to everyone else. Whenever I get anything below a B I feel like a failed. This is probably because when I was in fifth grade and got my first C I tried telling my dad who proceeded to tell me “A C may be the national average but you live here and here an A is average.” Which really screwed me up because now I live in a constant state of “Crap I got a C I’m dead.” And I never feel good enough.
