nature photography 🍊🌿 2/?
hELLo fReNdOs!! *moos with good energy* idk if I'm really exploring nature photography or just plugging my gorgeous balcony (which I'm forever grateful to live in), but oh well! Photography!
Hope you're doing well in whatever you're experimenting this month (for me it's art & finals, what a concept), take care of yourself & others and do good. — nans ✨

Hello December!! Just a little update on what I’m currently doing in my BuJo!! No weekly spreads right now because I honestly don’t have a use for them. I’m going to make a very detailed update post on where I’ve been, what happened, and why I disappeared for several months. I know my posts aren’t as organized and scheduled as before, but I’m really trying to get back into posting. 100 Days of Productivity is somewhat on a hold right now and will be explained in the update post. But thank you so much for keeping up with my blog and supporting me through thick and thin! THANK YOU FOR 700 FOLLOWERS!!! Go check out my newest post on insta: https://instagram.com/p/BcsuiNIAy9N/

100 Days of Productivity - Day 13 (a day late) August 19th, 2017
I woke up pretty late, but I still got some of my gov flashcards and math review done :) Didn’t have much time for anything else since I had piano and violin class today.
It’s almost that time of year ! Considering how important college essays/ personal statements are, it’s honestly never too early to start drafting. There are all the links/tips I found helpful during my college app experience !!
GENERAL TIPS
Follow the prompt !! Your overall message should lead back to the prompt- make sure that doesn’t get lost in the body of your essay.
Application readers want a sense of the kind of person you are. You are telling a story, not rattling off a list of facts, so convey your own voice, whether that’s sarcastic, funny, or upbeat. Your personality should come through !!
Have teachers/friends/parents read your essay to make sure it matches your true voice. If it’s not the kind of story you would tell to a group of your friends, it shouldn’t go in your essay.
BE HONEST.
SERIOUSLY. DON’T MAKE STUFF UP, IT’S NOT WORTH IT.
We all would love a grand story about how you saved three babies from a landslide in the Yukon territory, but if you manage to make a mundane part of your life shine, your application will stand out that much more.
And using a real piece of your life makes writing easier too.
Find a motif/metaphor/theme to tie together the beginning and end of your essay. Connecting your personal experiences with something like a book or a movie has potential for humor + an added piece of your personality. But even something like a trip to Costo can be the perfect background to tell your story.
Get to know your guidance counselor !! They have so much insight into the application process + they write a rec letter. Even after graduation, my counselor is my close friend, counselors can be the best.
