Be kind to yourself. You're better than you realize.
“A baby is something you carry inside you for nine months, in your arms for three years, and in your heart until the day you die.”
-Mary Mason
My husband works so hard, I feel guilty being a stay at home mom to our 1 year old. We own a business so he runs that and also works full time. How can I stop feeling so worthless? I take care of the house and babysit on the side to make some extra money, but I still don't feel like I do enough.
You definitely are not worthless, it's almost like I wrote this myself, I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I'm a SAHM too, my husband works his regular 4 10hr days (tues-fri) and has 3 days off. Or should have 3 days off, he works o.t whenever its offered which is usually all the time and then does side jobs as an automotive painter when they pop up since that's his background. I get the guilt, honestly. You are my hero though, you are going above and beyond for you and your family just as much as he. And even though there's no monetary proof, you are valued and that's proof by how great you're doing with your little one and also keeping up with the house

Hello everyone!! We're getting into the spirit of October over here at helpfulmoms.
Tell us a scary story that you heard or a scary encounter that you've had yourself!
I'll get it started. When I was little, around 4 years old, we used to live in this big house with a huge upstairs. One day when my older brothers were at school, I was playing downstairs and my mom told me she would be in the living room (also downstairs). Well I heard foot steps upstairs. I went looking for my mom because I was so confused. I had just seen her downstairs. She told me that's where she'd be.
I walked around up there, calling my mom but no one was there. I checked all the rooms and suddenly I heard my mom calling my name as she was walking up the stairs asking why I was up there and that she had been looking for ME the whole time downstairs!!

We decided to do a Thankful Thursday! Tell us what/who you’re thankful for. Or 3 things that you’ve been thankful for lately, a shout out to a tumblr friend just to let them know they’re appreciated. Whatever works, we’d love to hear from you!
