the most common responses I see to the very many LGBT people who have had these kinds of experiences with christianity is something like “uhhh you know you can HEAL and STILL BE CHRISTIAN right? :/ why are you giving up part of yourself? :/ why do you think you’re better than us? [stuff about Jesus, hot takes about interpreting the bible nobody fucking asked for]” or a mocking kind of “oh sorry you hate your parents for making you go to church haha 😏" and tbh it vicariously/sympatheticly makes me livid
