The vampire had ways of detecting individuals around him, though normally he wouldn't feel such a strong supernatural presence such as this from a strange area, and the presence that he could feel was very much localized in one spot as well. It only meant that it had to be someone...the presence only seemingly following him as it was from what he felt.
And yet the feeling was slight, weak almost. As if either whatever the demonic presence was it wasn't that strong or the aura it gave off was being purposely restricted.
Yet even as he spoke out to try to identify what it was that was following him, there was still silence. The vampire looking around the area where he could feel some of the aura. The darkness didnât bother him at all in that regard, waiting to see if there would be any movement from the bushes. Depending on what it was that could have been tailing him, he could still have an advantage in the darkness, it all depended on how well the presence was able to see in this.
Though odds were likely it had some form of night vision as well, or else he wouldnât have been followed like so unless they had other senses they relied on more. Either way, there was still a lack of noise or even trace of movement from the direction. The only thing telling him that something was off was the fact that the presence that he was sensing was seeming getting stronger, as if it was coming closer.
Conrad didnât want to have to fight, not if he had no idea if the presence was friend or foe. The vampire did have his own fair share of enemies in this world, and thus there was always that possibility, but he didnât believe in striking first and asking questions later. Not when sometimes there was a way to avoid unnecessary bloodshed. But he was still putting himself on the defensive, stopping in his walk in order to see what would happen next. The air itself starting to cool around himself almost as a threatening measure, and to ensure he could at least be able to use his magic against his mystery stalker.
