Beat two more stages of Helious!

With both stages, it was the first time I ever beat either of them after having been playing them since the 90′s.

Wowie, there’s really a lot of nuance to the game design, its hilarious watching Vinesauce play it for 30 seconds, complain that the controls suck because he didn’t realize its a momentum/physics based game, and then quit.

I’ll be back Wednesday November 17th at 4:00 PM with Mario Party Advance and Game & Watch Gallery 4.

Happy Halloween!

I’m staying out of all the big streamers with their “real” horror game streams and giving an early afternoon treat with the DOS PC game Helious, which may be the earliest ever game with a fourth wall breaking “creepypasta” style story associated with it, which was distributed via a text file included with the game on floppy disks as early as 1993!

I actually encountered this game when I was traded it on a floppy disk by a kid at school back in the 90′s, the backstory has fascinated me for decades, and I’m thrilled to be able to share a spooky but non-violent game on Halloween!

Here’s my streaming schedule for the last week of October 2020!

Nintendo’s Vs. Pinball on Tuesday night! This will be an ultra fast stream, about an hour and change, I’ll be doing some more Hi Score runs to see if I can climb higher than my current global leaderboard ranking of 84th Place!

Then Wednesday afternoon, I’m gonna warm up with a half hour of NES Pinball just for the heck of it, and then digging back into the story mode campaign of Mario Party Advance, which if you are not aware, it an actual proper plot driven single player game and more in depth than any other Mario Party game’s single player mode.

I forgot a LOT of this game in spite of it being a favorite, so its been fun rediscovering it on stream and giving this obscure game more exposure.

Then on Thursday afternoon, I’m playing a half hour of Super Mario Bros. 35, but then I’m getting back into Helious, the mysterious maze game for DOS that has a fourth wall breaking “creepypasta” backstory, but after playing this since the 90′s, for the first time I actually made it one third of the way through the game!

I’m thinking I can get far enough along to solve the game and trigger the ending for the first time in my life!
