Idk about some of these. I've seen Wicked three times with three different casts and I've been listening to album obsessively since I was in the 7th grade and to me Glinda is 100% ESFP and idk I'd put the wizard as an ENFP maybe but both of them are definitely some kind of E-F- at least that's my interpretation. I'm curious about what had you put them down as introverted
For Glinda, I completely understand the ESFP interpretation, in my opinion it’s more a matter of interpretation of her behavior. But also, it’s important to keep in mind that IxFJ are very social and can completely dupe you into thinking they’re extroverted when you meet them in a social context. They’re very socially apt.
The reasons why INFJ is what I choose for her:Â
Ni: From the beginning, Glinda is shown as ambitious, something that is associated with introverted intuition. She has a future she wants to build for herself, first thing she does while arriving is trying to build up social relationships and she has her future with Fiyero all planned out as well. Also Ni users tend to be sarcastic little brats and Glinda has several moments like that (”It seems the artichoke is steamed”, etc).
Fe: Not only is Glinda very aware and anxious to live up to people’s expectations, she is also very easy to be moved by other people’s emotions. As soon as she realizes that Elphaba might be better than she thought, she establishes her as an ally and takes her under her wing. She also strictly adheres to rules of politeness and social behavior, which is often a sign of Fe. She’s good at manipulating people with her sweetness, she has a strong outer façade of silly girly girl but is more than just that inside.Â
Ti: She can be rationally minded and think through things through her own filter of logic. This is especially visible in Act 2 where she puts her own feelings aside to try and understand the other point of view.Â
Se: Toss-toss! She loves fashion & good beautiful things, she has a sense for aesthetic and new physical experiences.Â
Again, I’m still a newbie in this fandom and I totally understand if this is maybe emphasizing some fainter traits of Glinda.
