My husband hates cats....Part 2
So, thanks to my cat hating husband, we now have a semi feral tortie living in the kitchen, much to the disgust of Bandit and MamaCat who now have to live in the rest of the house.
Life is also more interesting now as she seems to think she HAS to be in your space. You’re doing the dishes? She’s in front of you, trying to make you drop a plate and playing with the bubbles while whacking you in the face with her tail.
You’re making a cup of tea? The daft cat has started a love affair with the kettle and sits licking the damn thing as it’s boiling (it’s an electric one). Although, I think she’s cheating on the kettle with the water-filtration jug. Neither are complaining.
I have taken to calling her The Mistress of Truely Epic Headbonks (and possible concussion). When she headbutts you, your arm will move. As will anything you’re holding. Her headbutting skills would be the envy of any Glaswegian. If she has a running start (which she often does), brace for impact and check whether it registered on the Richter Scale.
It also appears she’s going to be a Daddy’s Girl. I can stroke her and can hand feed her treats. My husband gets screamed at if he ignores her and he can pick her up. He’s also not sure whether she should be called Cosmo, Cosmos or Nebula. Well, it’s better than the last cat he named. Poor thing ended up being called Fido.
