And to be frank: whatever business he was off doing had become, quite honestly, none of Vox's business. His tone is sharp, irritation lacing each drawl at the end of his words. It wasn't just the fact that he didn't enjoy being questioned, regardless of how casual or unimportant it was, it was the fact that he didn't appreciate the way he'd asked the question -- the subtle nag. The attitude. Everything about it.

It reminded him of far too many times before, when he hadn't had any status whilst mortal, or for a good amount of time in Hell. So sue him for reacting so negatively, Valentino could quite honestly care less about what Vox might think of his response. He moves across the penthouse and pointedly avoids standing close to the other, laying himself down on the chaise lounge with a loud huff.
