Broke my social media hiatus just for this. Totally worth it. I presented at the Dekalb County Schools #dekalbschools @dekalbschools My Brother's Keeper summit this past Saturday and had the kids to a "Picture Your Success" activity where they created a future Instagram post based on a goal they want to achieve. Nard has had run-ins with the law, is on probation, and has to attend counseling as a condition of his probation. His therapist is an Omega. He was a leader in our group and spoke to the rest of the students about overcoming obstacles and being true to yourself no matter what. So much wisdom at the age of 15. The whole class cheered when he read his Instagram post out loud. He left it behind after the session, I'm not sure if that was purposeful, but I'll keep it close. And I'll be cheering you on bro. I believe in you. #mbkdekalb #hdhwrites #hdreamers

5/8 of the presenters today at the @divasmentoringprogram_ teen summit were Greek! Always great to see Greeks giving back. Swipe the pictures! I've never been closer to Heaven than with my lips pressed against yours. These tears won't fall they burn my eyes, rain clouds heavy, drifting, stubborn telling of a healing never to come.
