Yeah, I know you’ve heard me rant about it. :P It’s just frustrating and a bit exhausting, for all I enjoy the Alpha kids and Calliope, I miss the story about the *characters*, instead of now where it’s a plot just using the characters to tell it.

Oh gosh Amanda your rants are so wonderful and perfect and everything I wish I could property put into words haha.  I enjoy the alpha kids and calliope/caliborn shenans and well but I just don't know.  I feel like why keep adding new characters when the old character were perfectly fine, and never really got a chance to fully develop in the first place?  Hussie really needs to learn how to follow through instead of adding things just to move the plot along instead of never actually finishing anything.  So yeah, I totally agree with you when you say missing the story being about the characters instead of a plot using characters to tell it.  That's EXACTLY the problem I have with how the story is being told now so thank you for putting it so clearly for me!  (once again haha)

Last time I did my reread, I didn’t even bother with Act 6 proper. I just reread 1-5.2 and then all the intermissions. Hopefully everything coming together in Act 7 will be a bit better…

Yeah, I'm really interested to see where act 6 will end and act 7 go after that.  The ending/epilogue downright scares the crap outta me.  I can only hope Hussie ties up all the lose ends out there clean and clear.  I'd also like to see him finish certain character archs, especially the ones we care about the most instead of being like, OH BOY DAVE IS JUST GONNA GET OVER HIS INSECURITY ISSUES JUST LIKE THAT NBD (as an example).  But yeah sorry side note there, I'll probably only do my re-read up to act 5.2 as well I'm not sure I could sit through certain parts of act 6 again ahaha.

Awww, first off I am so happy to hear you are so far (I think Suzi mention to me you started after youmacon??) and yeah I can kinda see why you would stop at Jake haha.  I do think it's important to read the alpha kid/caliborn/calliope parts to get the whole story and such.  All of it isn't that awful, and some if it is actually pretty enjoyable!  It's just weeding through the rest that can get to be a bit of a pain but that's just my personal opinion because lots of people really like it lol.  Besides, we do get to see the old characters again in the intermission segments which is really cool and refreshing to the story, I wish there was more of them.  :3  (ALSO HECK YEAH SOLLUX HIGH FIVES I NOTICED YOU'VE TAKEN A LIKING TO HIM BEST TROLL YES)
