#have purpose

When you enter my DMs, have a plan/purpose/point.

I had a moment of realization today. You know the kind I mean. One of those ones when everything becomes clear and you realize that something that was foggy for so long suddenly makes perfect sense.

My moment of clarity was this: I don't want to be a passive participant in my own life.

A good portion of my year so far has been cloudy. My desires are divided and multiple things and people and places shout for my attention and time. It's been hard to know who to ask for advice, where to turn when everything becomes so confusing.

I wish that I had dedicated all of this year to language learning. I wish that knowing what you want was a lot easier. I wish that someone had told me to come back and just focus on language, and that if someone did tell me that, that I had listened.

A friend of mine recently asked the question: What have you learned, if you define learning as changed behavior? How often do we have thoughts and hear teachings but never actually make any life changes?
