i wasn't here during pre-season obviously and i didn't see any atrocious shit here even when i did my initial insane scroll through to learn abt these guys thank goodness! but on twitter and ig? especially the comments?? disgusting. they're like this for certain players but when they get called out? it's all 'why are you bringing race into this'. the normal reaction to it would be to rethink on it, especially in you aren't a poc, explain in what way you meant if you really didn't mean it that way and also accept that it can come off that way even if you didn't mean for it to. like if people call you out on being racist you have to wonder if they're right because they're the ones experiencing it you know??? why is that so difficult to understand 😭

wonder about the comments during joe's contract situation at times too lmao. probably also vile but of a whole different quality tbh. can't deny how people outside here see joe as an air-headed pretty boy just from his looks and fashion choices alone at times too. honestly if twitter weren't where all the media source is from for me i would ignore it forever sigh.

also here it's mostly more of the subtle bias and of the 'unknowingly ignorant' quality you know?? like blink and you'll miss it or just a weird feeling you can't get rid off sometimes before it dawns on you and going 'yeah, ok.' the kind you can't even verbalize on sometimes because?? am i just crazy or too sensitive for this??? and you can tell it's not purposefully malicious really! they just. don't take it to account. like ja'marr is just decoration or just an extra. :(
