I don't know if it's important but I would love to know what the "unorthodox prerequisites" are for the auction !! what did people have to do or agree to to be in that room?

This episode made me think more about the Talamasca than the entire talamasca show (which sucked, btw). The auction guy saying "We are not here and you are not here" reminded me of Fareed's constant "I am not here." Possible Talamasca connection? What was really interesting to me was the vampire Sam saying the Talamasca dragged him into the Talamasca. Okayy?? What was going on there. Was he already a vampire then? Usually the Talamasca just observes, they're usually not in the midst of the action? I hope we get more intel on this!

I don't think it is important, but I do think it's interesting lestat chose a 19th century french poet to set his classical song cycle to. Apparently song cycles are usually glum and dark, to help the artist live out their anxieties.

like many people have said, lestat mentioning the "attempted extinction of the y chromosomes" means we're post queen of the damned which puts us either pre- or mid- tale of the body thief book-wise. (and seeing raglan james at that auction and seeing louis smile at him?? i'd say that's not unlikely!!)

Lestat's conversation with Daniel implied Lestat told Louis much more of his life pre-New Orleans than we assumed ("It is true you were a stutterer as a child? Louis said you were.") vs Louis' "Lestat never told me shit" in s2. Which might still be true but I thought it was interesting!

Load-bearing hallucination baby jenks !!!! "These songs are gonna kill you, you know that right?" All this foreshadowing to how the tour leads not only to the wrecking of the world, but also to lestat's own doom!!

The way Lestat's relationship to love and also relationships is brought up so heavy this ep already it makes me SICK. lestat's "love has always been difficult for me" in the recap, baby jenks saying "Kill some wolves, fall in love. Get the gift, fall in love. Go to ground, get dug up, fall in love. (...) Why are you so sad? Thousands of fans loving you." The fans are not what he wants though, not the real connection he wants which baby jenks also says "And that will top off that heart of yours?" BIG on baby jenks saying "Why do you always make it so hard for someone to give it to you?" Lestat leaving a note for himself to cut out the part where he called Louis an insane person, Lestat texting Gabrielle "I miss you, come to me, it's been too long" BABY JENKS SAYING "etc... This season is gonna HIT hard on the lestat + love theme !!!!!

I would love to know more about his frozen accounts?? "IMF freezing your accounts because you have the blood of a patricidal queen inside you" - During the events of Queen of the Damned, his fame remains and being seen with Akasha leads to his accounts being frozen because of their association? I'm INVESTED !!

Maybe I missed it but I thought it was interesting the way he framed this: "And everywhere you go, everyone remembers the thing they said to you in the room that you shared" is that Daniel's question he repeats a second later or this is something different we will get to see later?
