fucking wild to just be casually into the hatchedfield universe rn. no i havent seen nightmare time what the fuck are all of you on about<333
So what we know for sure until now is that:
Hatchedfield was founded by the Hatched Men, who are against the Church of the Starry Children, who are worshippers of the Lords in Black.
The hatched men were... planted? (Perky's buds had a suprising amount of lore about them btw)
They were trapped, some volunteered and some were forced, and their sacrifice somehow stopped the children of hatchedfield from...
Being born with powers i assume?
Bob Metzger says it was called "having the touch of the gift" (again, Perky's buds has incredible lore) but the gift was "unclean".
Taking from the way they treat Willabela Muckwab in the Witch in the Web, i assume that she was one of those people, and that the Hatched men did not took that lightly.
Then in Daddy, Shelila Young says that she got 'The gift' from her late husband, and she has transcribed pages from a book about the Lords in Black.
Mr Monroe (Linda's father) talks about the Church of the Starry Children in Honey Queen, and apparently it controls a good part of the town (might be a rich people thing?)
Im trying to make sense of this much lore but most importantly im just blasting the songs full volume and loving every episode of Nightmare Time.
