Their first piece of “evidence” is Hashirama joking that Madara had a stern face and that’s literally all there is to it 😭 They took a playful little interaction and started doing forensic analysis on it like please me and my friends call each other worse shit as a joke Kishimoto clearly wasn’t implying anything deeper than the fact that despite everything they still had a familiar and playful dynamic. Especially when this comes from the same man who in a serious scene before Tobirama, Orochimaru and everyone else describes Madara as a gift from the fucking divine.

Then they went on this insanely stretched tangent about people not comparing 16yo Sasuke—who they apparently made the male beauty benchmark —to a grown ass man physically like that comparison was ever necessary in the first place…like why would kurama even compare the two in term of looks for? Or Tobi who was literally larping as madara himself😭😭Meanwhile we have direct moments like this where Madara solely compliments Mei’s technique and she playfully takes it as a flirtatious advance. Mind you he’s literally a corpse here if he was supposedly disgustingly hideous that interaction wouldn’t even land but I digress-

also their main argument being that Madara must be chopped because he’s never compared to Sasuke is killing me bc Kishimoto literally said he designed Madara around the concept of “Sasuke if he grew up,” meaning they’re intentionally meant to look alike. okay so when i first got back into naruto, i was actually a fan of madara for like, i'd say two months and then for some reasons, my brain lowkey switched to hashirama, so he became my special interest :3c

what surprised me at first is that i actually likes villains more, in fact i was on a streak of having villains as my special interest until mr shodai here came along. some of the stuff i like about hashirama personality wise is that he's very goofy. he's the god of shinobi, the first hokage, even in the earlier seasons we expect him to be stern from the few appearances he makes but when we really get to meet him we see that he's actually kinda corny! this is the so called god of shinobi who has a gambling addiction, depression, and likes mushrooms. i also like his kindness, though that goes without saying. i especially liked that he still calls madara a kind man even though . yk. madara lowkey caused a war and everything. but i also like his flaws alot. despite being praised by everyone and being hailed as a 'god' he's still deeply flawed. his naivety clearly clouded his judgement [thinking that letting tobirama would be able to set aside his prejudices and treat the uchihas fairly ; thinking that sasuke would be able to talk to madara because he looked like izuna ; thinking that everything was fine with madara...] also repeating the cycle of war despite having fought so much to stop it despite himself. hashirama clearly repeated his father's words to madara when he killed him [HASHIRAMA HATERS THIS IS NOT A SAFE SPACE IM SERIOUS SHOO SHOOO GET OUT!!!] and i really enjoy his flaws! which is why i also dont like when people paint him as this saint that was perfectly fine mentally. the dude lived through a whole war, he was bound to be a little fucked up. its okay. also this is more abt the minato one shot but i like that hashirama's love was enough to keep kurama at bay when he was inside mito. SO MUCH SO that he was still semi dormant when hashirama died

now physically wise, i always had a thing for men with long hair. and clearly everyone in konoha wanted hashirama's bundles . i always make sure also to draw the lines at the corner of his eyes, which can either be read as tear lines or stress marks. despite the fact that kishimoto lowkey highkey forgot about them in the later seasons, i still like them, they show that despite hashirama's cheerful exterior, he still went through stressful times.
