Madara had Hashirama's cells, so when using the Gedō Mazō, instead of a bunch of Zetsus, a full Hashirama appeared right after the moment of the mighty Hokage's death. Due to this plan that succeeded, there was a bonus;

Hashirama could not be killed. No matter what.

It all started when Hashirama thought she was early enough to enjoy some time in the water before the two friends were to meet up. Unknowingly to Madara, Hashirama had always been male... And yet, the person before him, the same hair he had watched grow for so many years, the moment he turned, it made the mighty Uchiha hold his breath in shock.

There was a time in their later teens, where the two friends ended up meeting up at the very river their friendship ended so many years earlier, and yet, they were both so drawn towards it once more. This is when Madara found out his old friend was a woman, a mighty strong female, one that could happily kick his ass~ (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ Hashirama had been told by her father, that if she were to be found out she was female, her life would come to an end. What a first look to give Madara...

After some adjusting however, Madara learns quite a few new things~
