mira is waiting for her daughters (who are maybe around 8 or 9) to get out of school one day when she overhears some other parents talking about a stink bomb that went off in another kids locker, and they cant find any evidence whatsoever as to who couldve done it. and mira, knowing her own history of committing these sorts of acts without a trace of evidence (on a much grander scale and with a partner, of course), immediately goes
later that night, after having discussed it w her wives, they come to the conclusion that it must have been jihae, whos the cleverest and most outwardly vindictive of her sisters (theyve had to have a couple discussions w her about getting revenge on her sisters for something before). aeri is far too well behaved and hani has already begun showing more…”Terrifying”…tendencies, particularly when her sisters take her snacks from her, and when one boy insulted one of them in front of her.
they ask jihae about it later but she vehemently denies it and is obviously extremely offended at the suggestion, even after her parents basically imply they’ll forget all about it if she was trying to get revenge for one of her sisters. eventually she storms out and they’re all not exactly happy with how that went
the next day, they get called to the school.
“there’s been an incident involving one of your daughters hitting another student who grabbed one of your other daughters.”
they come in expecting to see aeri (who’s the oldest and very protective), but instead they see jihae, who’s cracking her knuckles menacingly at another student who’s sitting with a black eye.
a lot of emotions run through them at that moment. guilt that they accused jihae of something she didnt do. pride at her for defending her sister. anger that their daughter is getting in trouble for protecting her sister (they later find out it was hani).
but mostly shock, with twinges of some horror. their 8-9 year old daughter, who broke her mother’s finger when she was only 2 months old, is now going around throwing punches. their oldest daughter (same age, but older by 2 hours), who is bright and smiley and always does what she’s told and refuses to kill a fly, is a mastermind who went behind their back to either buy or, perhaps even more horrifying, make her own stink bomb, set it up and off without leaving behind evidence, and barely bat an eye or looked even remotely guilty about what she’d done
they need a long time to process that once they get home
