He blames the cheery festival atmosphere, the cotton candy a.k.a pure joy he had downed five minutes before, and now his strawberry ice cream for his wound up energy.
"I'm damn sure the fireworks are this way, Armin. Look!" And Eren, all confidence and a spring in his step whips around.
And smashes himself and his ice cream straight into someone's face.
"Ah, shit!" Eren exclaims, his ice cream now demolished, "I guess I didn't see you there--"
And Eren cuts himself short, because, well, the man he had smacked straight into is pretty damn short. And looking about to blow a fuse with how his brow twitches and the corner of his mouth curls into a frown.
Eren gulps because ice cream drips down from the man's right cheek, over a sharp jawline, past his collarbones and down his chest, and holy shit those are some fucking intense tattoos.
Then, the man is grabbing Eren's collar, and Eren lets out a squeak he would be embarrassed to admit to. The movement causes the man's sleeve to slip down, revealing even more tattoos winding over his arm in intricate spirals all the way down to his wrist. Sea green waves, blood red blossoms, solid black lines, and koi fish that must be connected to the tattoos on his upper chest.
"Watch where the hell you're going, you little shit."
Eren vaguely hears Armin whisper behind him, "Y-Yakuza?"
Choked noises escape Eren in disbelief. He had heard rumors that yakuza families sometimes run a few of the food and game stalls during festivals. Eren hopes this one doesn't happen to run one of those shooting game ones.
Eren blabbers out a high-pitched, "Oh god, I'm sorry and please don't kill me." He flails about for some tissue while sputtering out nonsense, and in the end attempts to wipe the pissed man's face with his sleeve. It only smears the melted ice cream even more.
And the man smacks Eren's hand away.
"You're gonna pay for this," The tattooed man growls between clenched teeth, his sharp eyes glaring up at Eren. And Eren whimpers and withers though that gaze is below him, because the man's aura is dark and more than makes up for his short stature.
"And he really did make me pay. Literally. He didn't own a shooting game stand, but one of those ones where you try to catch the goldfish -- Which I really suck at -- And he made me pay every last penny," Eren says.
The boy tilts his head to look at Levi, lounging next to him on the sofa with an arm slung over the back of it.
Levi's mouth quirks up into an amused smile for a half second, as the memory floats back up to him.
"You couldn't catch one, not even once. I felt bad for you, so in the end I just gave you one."
"Oh, it wasn't because of my dashing good looks?" Eren teases.
Levi rolls his eyes. But he lifts his arm from the back of the couch and settles them around Eren's shoulders. It looks awkward for a second, with their height difference, but Eren slouches down and snuggles himself into Levi's side, making the both of them comfortable.
"And, uh, so... Levi, are you really... you know, yakuza?"
Levi says nothing, or more accurately put, does not have the chance to, not when Eren suddenly sits up straighter again, lights dancing in his eyes.
"He is! Like, these are legit yakuza tattoos, man," And Eren unceremoniously grabs Levi's arm in a way that only someone who is totally comfortable with the other person would manhandle them, and shoves up Levi's long sleeve.
Eren wiggles in his seat and goes on as if he is proudly talking about his own tattoos, "They're all up his arms and even go down his back to his ass--"
And Levi promptly kicks Eren's ass off the sofa and to the floor.

There was a fic about Dean and Cas being friends and they like each other but deny it and Cas's whole family (Gabriel, Micheal, Balthazar) and his mom try to hook them up while teasing them. I remember there was a scene when Dean was fixing Cas's mom's car and his mom turned up the thermostat and teased Cas. It had monkey in the title. It was comedy/au and it was on fanfiction. THANKS!
